Fly-in Labourers Needed for 14/7 Winter Camp Jobs in Fort McMurray

Lakeshore Contracting Ltd. is currently recruiting Chainsaw Labourers for a camp based project in Fort McMurray, AB. This position will be needed throughout the winter on a 14 and 7 schedule.

A Little bit about Lakeshore Contracting:

Acden Lakeshore Contracting Limited Partnership (ALCLP) is a partnership between Acden and Lakeshore Contracting Ltd.  This is the first partnership that joins a First Nations owned company with an Aboriginal owned company. The partnership will combine the essential services of Acden, for the planning, construction, maintenance and reclamation of Alberta’s Oil Sands and SAGD facilities, with the extensive knowledge of Lakeshore Contracting Ltd in civil works, site maintenance, clearing and corehole projects on local sites in the RMWB.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of two years experience working on a construction site with heavy equipment and other skilled trades persons, as well as having used chainsaws on the worksite in the past. Heavy North Construction Ltd. is committed to operating with a high standard of safety and responsible work practices. The successful candidate must align with and enforce these standards at all times. Must be fit for duty at all times.

  • Must have 2 years experience working chainsaw onsite/slasher experience
  • Must be able to lift 50kg, work bent over or in a crouching position for extended periods of time.
  • Perform daily safety and maintenance checks
  • Minimum 2 years experience on a large construction site
  • Ability to work in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to work independently and with little supervision
  • Willingness and ability to work extended hours and weekends
  • Ability to work under pressure


  • Enform Chainsaw certificate
  • CSTS-09
  • OSSA (or BSO, CSO)
  • Valid Class 5 license
  • Ground Disturbance Level 2
  • Bear Awareness
  • Ability to lift 50kg
