What Kinder Morgan is Hiring for:

With stakes in the ground & pipe stacked in yards, construction is set to begin on Kinder Morgan’s Permian Highway Pipeline. According to estimates, the new pipeline will directly generate about 2,500 various local pipeline construction jobs along with 18 full-time jobs once the project is complete.

Oilfield Job Shop contacted a Kinder Morgan representative about the positions. The response from Kinder Morgan was as follows:

“The 2,500 construction jobs are individuals hired by Kinder Morgan contractors.  These will not be employees of Kinder Morgan.  There is no one set way to apply for these jobs.  Every contractor is different on how they recruit and post available positions…as for the 18 full time jobs, these will be Kinder Morgan employees and the positions will be posted on the Kinder Morgan website.  The jobs will be spread out from Waha, TX to Sheridan, TX and some may even be in Houston, TX.”

Work Regions:

These opportunities from Kinder Morgan are available in Midland, Odessa, Texas, United States.

Description:

The project is said to ‘provide attractive, broad U.S. Gulf Coast market optionality for Permian Basin production’. Allen Fore, vice president, public affairs for Kinder Morgan Allen Fore estimates that the new pipeline will directly generate about 2,500 local construction and 18 full-time jobs along with approximately $42 million in increased annual revenue to state and local taxing authorities.

The approximately $2 billion PHP Project will provide an outlet for increased natural gas production from the Permian Basin to growing market areas along the Texas Gulf Coast. In November 2018, the project partners approved an expansion of the PHP Project capacity by approximately 0.1 Bcf/d, which is currently being marketed. The base project capacity of 2.0 Bcf/d has been fully subscribed. The PHP Project is now designed to transport up to 2.1 Bcf/d of natural gas through approximately 430 miles of 42-inch pipeline from the Waha, Texas area to the U.S. Gulf Coast and Mexico markets

Completion is expected in the fourth quarter of 2020.
