  • Operate wireline unit & insure crew is maintaining & servicing equipment assigned to him.
  • Transport crew downhole tools to and from well sites
  • Maintain proper shipping papers for hazardous materials

Basin Well Operator – Job Description

  • Drive to location & prepare equipment for service
  • Help in the preparation and assembly of wire line tools 
  • Deploy wire line tools oil & gas wells
  • Disassemble & clean wireline tools for use again
  • Help to insure all duties are performed in a clean & safe manner

 

Pump Operator

Andrews, Texas

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

Under the direction of a Rig Manager, the Pump Operator organizes the rig crew (Floor Hands and Derrick Hands), conducts Job Safety Meetings, delegates the collection of materials and equipment needed to perform the contracted services, drives the Rig to the work site, operates the rig and equipment and directs the crew to set-up and prepare the rig for the tasks to be performed. Directs the assigned floor hands and derrick hands to safely perform the service tasks contracted by a client utilizing the equipment provided by the employer; documents services performed, the billable supplies used during the process and the time elapsed while performing the contracted services. The Rig Relief Operator uses specialized equipment to guide instruments, tubing, and casing down hole. He must keep his working environment in a clean and organized fashion and is responsible for ensuring that all the equipment he uses in proper working order. A Relief Operators duties also include, cleaning, fueling, repairing and maintaining workover rig equipment to include greasing, changing oils and lubricants as need and on a regularly scheduled basis.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of Floor Hand experience
  • 1-2 years of Derrick hand experience
  • Advanced Problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and verbal / written English communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, run pipe Talley’s, figure pipe weights, keep good pipe counts, know how to space out pumping units, run and pull ESP’s, know pipe torques specifications, pick up and operate power swivel and principles of operating mud pumps.
  • Supervisory level of well control training
  • Class B CDL license to drive workover rig (not required-but encouraged)
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and lift objects of up to seventy five pounds (75#) for extended periods of time

 

Floor Hand

Williston, North Dakota - Boomfield, New Mexico - Andrews, Texas

 

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

The Floor Hand under the direction of the Crew Operator, performs activities and operates hand and power tools to perform maintenance and repairs to oil or gas wells and related equipment, including activities associated with the rig-up and rig-down of the workover rig, pulling levers or turning handles to extend hydraulic or screw-type jacks to support and level the rig, it’s derrick and or other machinery; picking up and/or laying down steel production rods, tubing and casing, disassembling and assembling various types of production equipment, the repair and maintenance of tools; and other tasks necessary to complete the contracted services. The Floor hand uses specialized equipment to guide instruments, tubing, and casing down hole. He must keep his working environment in a clean and organized fashion and is responsible for ensuring that all the equipment he uses in proper working order. A Floor hand’s duties also includes  cleaning, fueling, repairing and maintaining workover rig equipment to include greasing, changing oils and lubricants as need and on a regularly scheduled basis.

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of Floor Hand experience

  • This position requires standing, walking, and sitting while working either indoors or outdoors

 

Rig Manager

Williston, North Dakota 

 

MAIN FUNCTIONS:

The Rig Manager is responsible for every aspect of the rig operations, including set up, take down and moving, along with the safety of all crew members. The Rig Manager is responsible for daily paperwork and other matters of business pertaining to the Rig. The Rig Manager ensures that the rig operations comply with the environmental and government regulations as well as regulation the production and costs therein. The Rig Manager will need to be able to exhibit working knowledge of all parts on a Workover Rig and should be able to troubleshoot the mechanics of the rig and equipment on site.

 

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of Floor Hand experience
  • 1-2 years of Derrick hand experience
  • 1-2 years of Relief Operator experience
  • 1-2 years of Operator experience
  • Advanced Problem solving and organizational skills.
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills and verbal / written English communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment, run pipe Talley’s, figure pipe weights, keep good pipe counts, know how to space out pumping units, run and pull ESP’s, know pipe torques specifications, pick up and operate power swivel and principles of operating mud pumps.
