As word spreads around the country of 'bounce back' and the the oil industry activity picks up in Oklahoma, a chemical manufacturing company has taken interest in Chickasha.

Optum Energy Solutions produces additives that are put in pipelines to reduce turbulence and will be bringing jobs to Oklahoma.

Christy Elkins, CEO of Chickasha Economic Development was quoted as saying that “They were looking for a facility that would meet their needs in the SCOOP and STACK kind of region where they needed to be as far as oilfield play,”

According to KOCO News 5, The company has the potential to being 80 quality jobs to the area by early 2018, and that these jobs will pay in the range of $40,000 to $50,000 per year.

Further, the move by Optum Energy Solutions will assist greatly in bringing manufacturing jobs back to Chickasha -  which are especially needed since the Delta Faucet Operation closed more than 10 years ago.

“For us to be able to get these good kind of quality, living wage jobs back to Chickasha is a really good thing,” Elkins said.
